This beautiful Finger Lakes cabin rental has everything you’ll need as your NY base camp, including location. Mill Creek Cabins is in the heart of the Finger Lakes in between Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake. Step on to the six-foot porch and kick back on a rocking chair or Adirondack chairs. The private picnic area has a picnic table, fire ring and standing grill. If you need more than 2 bedrooms, we have 2 other cabins at Mill Creek Cabins.
Settle in with a Netflix movie (or) use a DVD from the Office. Guests love the kitchen: Microwave, toaster, cookware, dishes and flatware, coffeemaker and a tea kettle, a variety of teas, coffee, half & half and sugar. Grill up some steaks and kabobs after a day exploring the Finger Lakes National Forest. Enjoy your private hot tub!
Sleeping arrangement: Bedroom 1 has a queen. Bedroom 2 has bunk beds. Tiled walk-in shower.

Unique Features
What words come to mind when staying at the Basswood Cabin? Seclusion, rustic retreat, woods, wineries, Amish buggies. Yard FUN! Enjoy yard games like volleyball, yard darts, bocce ball, and croquet.
What else comes? Breakfast served every morning! Rise and shine to a hot breakfast from the Taste of Wine Country Cafe - fresh fruit, baked goods, and savory treats. Say “hi” to Mary or sleep in and she’ll leave it on the front porch.
Things To Do
Three groups can enjoy the sprawling 40 acre property, so you can meet new resort friends or invite more friends and family! Since you book directly with us at Mill Creek Cabins, you always get the guaranteed lowest rate and helpful local advice. We’re here year-round!
Got a group that likes to horseback ride? The Painted Bar Stables offers horseback rides year-round. There are the 11 major lakes of the Finger Lakes (all great for ice fishing.) Boating, fishing, kayaking and other water-sports all play a large role in cabin time in the Finger Lakes. We are full of local knowledge, just tell us what you like to do.
Depending on the season, you can hike, bike or cross country ski a mile loop on our 40 acres - through the woods and along the creek. Or you can commit to a longer journey in the Finger Lakes National Forest. During winter, you can hike, ski or snowshoe from the Basswood Cabin to the Forest! Don’t forget that New York’s best waterfalls and gorges are nearby - Snap that!

Reviews
Privacy with so much to do in the surrounding areas. Beautiful setting, fantastic breakfast, clean, cozy cabins and best of all dog-friendly! Jan Abernethy
Couldn’t be more perfect. Super quiet, peaceful and charming setting. The place was clean, comfortable and had everything needed for a few days’ stay. Full kitchen w/ oven, fridge, sink and coffee maker. Outside deck with chairs, grill and picnic table. Hot breakfast was brought to our door in a picnic basket everyday by 8am - scrambled eggs, freshly baked pumpkin bread, homemade preserves, warm quiche, etc. Owner Sara was very friendly and attentive. Would love to come back again soon. Rhonda Breunig
What makes the cabins so unique is the way they offer rustic isolation with all the conveniences of modern living. For example, cell phone reception is good enough to make emergency phone calls and there’s free wifi throughout the property. Each cabin includes a flat-screen TV and DVD player. The cabins are all stocked with water, wine and some basic cooking supplies (including utensils). There’s a house phone inside each cabin with the phone number of a handyman who lives nearby. Brian Cicioni
The cabins are beautiful! Clean and roomy! The setting is just beautiful. My husband and I sat there at one point and commented on the sound of silence! Morning breakfast is delivered and delicious! There is room outside for hiking or games or even just relaxing. The cabins are so close to winery activities and breweries. There are nearby places to eat or bring your own food and cook, we did both! You won't be disappointed! Michele Engebretson
I am Sara Abernethy, your host and Finger Lakes regional expert. I grew up on a farm outside of Pittsburgh. I was fortunate enough to live in many places including Philadelphia, Chicago and Melbourne, Australia. These days I spend all my time in either Pennsylvania or the Finger Lakes managing my multiple “wine country” cottage rentals and a wedding venue.
