Cedar Cabin is a cozy, 500-square-foot country rental for four in the Finger Lakes near the Cayuga and Seneca Lakes.
This one-bedroom home is pet-friendly and family-friendly, with a single story and a large, level, fenced-in lawn — plenty of space for everyone to run and play. Inside, this wilderness cabin is finished in warm, polished wood with plenty of natural light coming in from windows on all sides.
The main living area features a sitting room with a leather sofa and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. Guests can enjoy the remote view and the calm and quiet, while still having access to wireless internet, air conditioning, television and a DVD player.
Cedar Cabin’s full kitchen is furnished with dishes and modern appliances, as well as a few grocery staples, including coffee and tea, half & half and sugar. The cabin’s single bathroom offers both a clawfoot tub and a separate standing shower. Linens and towels are provided, along with complimentary toiletries.
Outside, guests will love the cabin’s spacious porch, fully outfitted with a dining set, a rocking chair, and Adirondack sun chairs. You will also have access to a charcoal grill, a fire pit, and a brand new private hot tub.
Some firewood and charcoal are available on site for purchase.
Sleeping arrangements: This cabin offers one private bedroom on the ground floor, furnished with a queen-sized bed. There is also a queen-sized sofa bed in the living area.
Your stay at Cedar Cabin includes a complimentary breakfast delivered daily to your porch. Your morning picnic basket includes fresh fruit and baked goods, as well as savory treats from the local Tastes of Wine Country Café.
A furnished coffee bar is prepared for guests inside the cabin, complete with a variety of coffee and tea, half & half and sugar. You will also find orange juice in the fridge.
Cedar Cabin shares 40 private acres of resort grounds with two other pet-friendly log cabins. These remote vacation homes are conveniently located near a one-mile walking or running path that runs along the perimeter of the property.
The Mill Creek Cabins resort grounds is home to a variety of local wildlife, including coyote, fox, the occasional bear — and a multitude of other small critters. The resort is close to the Finger Lakes National Forest, which does allow public access for seasonal hunting (hunting season runs from November to March).
During the rest of the year, the protected land is ideal for hiking excursions, fishing and picnics. The wider Finger Lakes area is a stunning and relaxing vacation destination, with beautiful foliage and shorelines.
The host town of Lodi is located in between the Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake, with plenty of water-based recreation available in either direction. Best of all, Mill Creek Cabins is located just five miles from the starting point of the Seneca Wine Trail — spend a day exploring the fantastic local vineyards, cellars and shops, then bring your booty back to the cabin to enjoy under the stars on the furnished deck in the warm summer air.
Other Cedar Cabin recreation amenities include volleyball, bocce ball, yard darts, croquet and a complimentary Netflix pass.

Regular rates for the coming year (April 1, 2021 to Oct 31, 2021) run $199/night from Sunday through Thursday and $259/night on Fridays and Saturdays.
The regular weekly rate is $1,513.
Regular rates apply to groups of up to two. Each additional guest/pet will incur a fee of $25/guest/night.
Additional charges include a $50 cleaning fee/stay and an 11 percent state tax.
No damage deposit is required to book the cabin.
A primary payment of 50 the total rental cost is required upon booking, with the full amount due upon arrival.
Cancellations made a minimum of 15 days prior to the check-in date will receive an 80 percent refund.
Check-in is available starting at 3:00 pm, with check-out scheduled for 11:00 am.

We stayed four nights in the Cedar cabin as we had three dogs with us. Having fenced-in backyard was wonderful! We could let the dogs out in the morning right from our bed! Besides the pet friendliness, the cabins are incredibly centrally located so it is easy to do day trips to Watkins Glen, Ithaca, Geneva and points in between. We couldn't have had a better vacation!
