Cottage 16 is our very clean and cozy efficiency unit for up to 3 people. Perfect for couples! Inside is a table with two chairs, microwave, coffee pot, toaster and refrigerator. Outside is your own porch, barbeque grill and outdoor picnic table. The air conditioning, heat and ceiling fan will keep you comfortable all day and all night.
If you and your partner are planning on spending most of your time on the Lake, in the Village, or exploring the Adirondack Park, Cottage 16 will make the perfect base camp. The Cottage is near The Gold Eagle entrance, next to Lake Shore Drive. Turn right and and you’re less than one mile to the Village and Lake George beaches; turn left and enjoy miles of lake & mountain views all the way to Ticonderoga.
Sleeping arrangement for the efficiency: One double bed and one single bed.
The Gold Eagle is located on spacious ground and has 15 cottage rentals. If you need more than a cottage for 2, rent several cottages (many right next to the pool) - this is a great place for large groups and family reunions.
Did you know you can travel by Trolley from The Gold Eagle? Leave your car parked and let the Trolley take you north and south of the Village to many area attractions. There is a small fee but it's worth every penny.
In the competitive mood? Challenge your partner to Ping Pong, Basketball, Badminton, or a couple of laps in our 50 foot pool. Your adventure might start right here at the Gold Eagle, but you won’t be able to resist the magnificent Adirondack Park and other natural areas.
Go hiking with your honey: Choose from Shorter, Moderate and More Difficult hikes. A popular Moderate trail is the Indian Pass from Upper Works, 4.4 miles with elevation of 2660ft. The view of Wallface's huge cliff from Summit Rock is one of the most impressive in the Adirondacks! Hadley Mountain is very popular too - the summit it open with good views Great Sacandaga Lake and it also has a restored fire tower - great views in all directions.
Experience the ‘quiet wilderness of the Adirondacks’ or the ‘active vibe of the Village’. Lake George, NY has great restaurants (many on the water) and fun nightlife! Water, sun, live music, seafood and a cold drink. Return to your private Cottage and relax.
