Don’t let the name fool you. Le Shaque is quite a bit more than your average shack. It is Perched from the top of the hill with the broadest view of Little Wolf Lake -- a small, peaceful lake, right outside the quaint village of Tupper Lake, NY. 6ft glass sliding door opens to a 34ft sundeck overlooking the lawns and the lake. What a wonderful view! The proximity of all 5 cottages make Curtigay Cove a favorite vacation spot for family reunions, annual retreats, and other larger gatherings.
Our 37 year reputation is that our affordable cottages are very clean and comfortably furnished. Master bedroom queen bed and large double window; 2nd bedroom double bed - door opens to a sun deck; 3rd bedroom set of twin beds and 3 window’s making the view wonderful; Living room queen sofabed sleeps 2 people; bathroom shower (no tub). Dining area is a sunroom - addition with a dinette sits 6.
Le Shaque shares all dock & lake rights with our Chez Chateau Gai cottage. Relax on the lake! Little Wolf has much less boat traffic than nearby Big Tupper Lake. This cottage has an outside fireplace, a picnic table and a boat/fishing dock. We are close to Saranac Lake, Lake Placid & Olympic Facilities, Long Lake, Natural History Museum of the Adirondacks.
Le Shaque is a good cottage for families with kids. Only 1 mile from the Adirondack Observatory where they hold star gazing parties on Friday evenings ( weather permitting)! The roof of the building rolls off and the skies are open to the heavens. The instructors set up huge telescopes and introduce people to the star studded night sky and the planets of Jupiter sand Saturn. With lasers they point out the wonders of our galaxy and other constellations - a terrific experience. The next construction at the Observatory will be the addition of a Planetarium and several new rooms regarding space and science. It will be called "the Adirondack Space and Science center". A lot of new and exciting things are happening in Tupper Lake!

I'm looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to Tupper Lake. The Wild Center and the Observatory; one of the favorite restaurants in town is Little Italy - great food; 2 local breweries for a good cold brew - thats where all the action happens now - a great addition to Tupper Lake. And if you are interested in or have never been to the Olympic Village of Lake Placid N.Y. its only 29 miles from Tupper. You can take a day tour of all of the Olympic sites. You'd best plan for more time if you want to see the Adirondacks. We have beautiful Mountains and Lakes!
Since I have lived in Tupper for 75 years (I was born in Saranac lake and my family moved to Tupper when I was 7 years old.) It's my hometown and I have loved it all my life and I don't want to live anywhere else in the summer and fall. I would still live there in the winter because I love snow (I was a diehard skier ) but now I'm too old to shovel snow:) I will make you comfortable. You will love our cottages on the lake!
