Harmony Hills’ Mountain Chalet Cabin is a 1,200-square-foot post-and-beam cabin set in a private clearing surrounded by tall trees and rolling hills of the Catskills. The open floor plan keeps the space light and relaxing, with a main living room, a media center with tv and wifi, a fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a lofted sleeping area. Exposed beams and wooden floors with a warm, natural finish give this cabin retreat a rustic, artistic atmosphere, while small living luxuries like a washer and dryer, dishwasher, and full bathroom with a tub provide the daily comforts of home. The chalet is heated by an old-fashioned gas wood stove, in addition to baseboard heat.
Mountain Chalet is an ideal, roomy accommodation for one or two people, while additional daybeds and a sleeper sofa can expand the overnight capacity to eight guests. This forest vacation home is complete with a charcoal grill, an open-air wraparound deck, and a screened-in porch to the back of the house, fitted with a table and chairs for back-to-nature dining. Guests can also enjoy the fire pit in the clearing to the front of the house — firewood is provided. This beautiful mountain retreat is surrounded by cultivated natural features such as the two-acre meadow and a series of nearby hiking trails.
Sleeping arrangements: The upstairs loft bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed and two twin beds. Three daybed couches and a sleeper sofa and chair are supplied in the great room area.
Harmony Hill Retreat makes its home on a 70-acre, wooded mountain estate studded through with carefully preserved natural features and scenery, all connected by meandering footpaths.
Harmony Hill celebrates the beauty and serenity of New York’s Catskills region by offering guests exclusive access to treasures such as the 11-circuit Fieldstone Labyrinth and Whimsical Meditation, where guests can stop by and pass the time being charmed by the melodic wind chimes.
This a one-of-a-kind, meditative retreat offers guests a variety of choose-your-own-experience packages and add-on services such as a gourmet basket, guided meditation, life-coaching, Reiki treatments, massage, yoga.
The retreat grounds are located near year-round tours and events at the historic Hanford Mills and museum, or fishing at local secret spot Kortright Creek. Fishing gear, bait, and canoe and kayak rentals are available nearby, and guided hikes can be scheduled on-site for an additional charge. Perhaps best of all, guests to Harmony Hills have the luxury of requesting a multi-course, farm-to-table, gourmet meal featuring locally sourced meats, cheeses and produce, delivered right the chalet’s front door.
Harmony Hill Retreat is a quiet, back-to-nature vacation paradise nestled in the Catskill Mountains in southeastern New York. The Catskills are home to protected forest land that is rich in wildlife and traversed by scenic nature trails. Famous views such as the Kaaterskill Falls and the lookout point at Sunset Rock are destination points for tourists with a love for beauty. There are also several well-known ski resorts, including Plattekill Mountain, Belleayre Mountain and Hunter Mountain. Visitors can engage in a variety of exciting outdoor adventures, such as paddling down the Susquahanna River or swimming at a nearby lake. Visitors can cast a line for fish in a large selection of Delaware County Rivers and Streams — maps of the area’s trails and waterways are provided at check-in!
Organized excursions can be found as well in the surrounding countryside, with unique local experiences and tours available at the Stone and Thistle Farm, the Bear Pond Winery, the Fly Creek Cider Mill, the Brewery Ommegang, and the Howe Caverns. Supplement your time away with quiet trip to the Hobart Book Village, or delve into the regional history with a trip to Hanford Mill Museum or one of several other historical experiences such as the Fenimore Art Museum, the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum or The Farmer’s Museum. Guests can also find performing arts shows and live music at the Glimmerglass Opera, the West Kortright Center or the Belleayre Music Festival. Harmony Hill Retreat’s Mountain Chalet Cabin is open year-round. 2 nite min; Check-in opens at 3 p.m. and check-out is at 11 a.m.
Pricing for up to two people is as follows:
Weekends (two-night minimum) — $245.00 per night
Week days — $200.00 per night
Weekly (seven nights) — $1,400.00 per week
Monthly — inquire for pricing
For more than two adults, an additional charge of $25.00 will be applied to each night of the stay, or $150.00 per week. If the additional guests are children aged five to fifteen, the additional charge is reduced to $20.00 per night or $120.00 for the week. There is no additional charge for children under five years of age. A one time fee of $50.00 will be applied for each pet.
