Nest Cottage at Journey’s End Lodging is a cozy one-bedroom vacation unit in the Adirondack Park near Long Lake. The main living area features an efficiency-style great room with a dine-in kitchenette and a small TV lounge and sitting room.
To the back of the cottage, a door leads off the kitchen to one bedroom with a queen sized bed and a full bath. The bath includes a combination shower and tub. To the front of the cottage, double glass doors lead from the sitting room to a spacious screened porch with a view of Long Lake. The screen porch spans the entire length of the cottage and is a perfect spot for outdoor dining.
Out of doors, this cottage sits above the lake, with a parking space and a small, grassy lawn, where guests have free access to a charcoal grill and Adirondack lounge chairs. It is attached to the camp's garage, where we store paddles and life jackets for boaters.
Sleeping arrangements: Nest cottage’s single bedroom is furnished with a comfortable queen-sized bed topped in a homemade quilt. The sofa in the living area also extends into a queen-sized bed.
Nest Cottage is one of five units arranged in a small camp setting. Journey’s End Lodging is situated in the Adirondack Park near Buttermilk Falls, Long Lake and the Whitney Wilderness Area. On-site provisions include picnic tables, barbecue grills, lounge chairs, boat docks and a sandy beaches. A limited number of canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards are also available for guest use.
Nest Cottage is located within easy walking distance to Long Lake, where guests can enjoy private, resort-owed boat docks and a sandy swimming/diving area. Bring your own boat or take advantage of onsite canoe, paddle boards and kayaks.
Long Lake is a great place to explore and also connects to the Fulton Chain of Lakes, where adventurers can try their paddles on the Norther Forest Canoe Trail. The quiet setting and wild surroundings also make Adirondack Park an ideal place for hunting, fishing, star gazing and leaf peeping.
Despite its rugged landscape, Journey’s End Lodging is not far from shopping, unique restaurants, grocery stores and custard stands in the neighboring towns. There are a number of scenic nature trails within the park, including the Northville/Placid Hiking Trail. Guests may also enjoy the proximity to the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake or the Wild Center in Tupper Lake. Other Long Lake-area must-sees include Buttermilk Falls — don’t forget the camera — and the Adirondack Blue Mountain Center for the Arts, which displays local art exhibits and features local theater and musical talents.

The Nest rents weekly at $900.00/week or nightly for $130.00/night with a two-night minimum stay.
During peak season (June 22 to September 9), this cabin rents weekly only at $1,100.00/week.
Journey’s End Lodging closes during the coldest months (typically between October 31 and May 1). However, renters are welcome to contact us for off-season availability dependent upon weather conditions.
Check-in is available starting at 4:00 pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is scheduled for 10:00 am.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the resort but will incur a $50.00 fee/pet per stay.
A $200.00 security deposit is required to reserve the cabin. The full balance is due 30 days prior to the check-in date. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to the check-in date will not receive a refund.
I wanted to let you know what a wonderful time we had at Journey’s End. We for most of the time had great weather. The camp was very comfortable and well equipped. Long Lake is very scenic and beautiful we took great pictures of the Loon’s, sea planes, and mountains. Kathy L., July 2015
