Stone Haven is a classic, red, barn-style cabin with country chic lace window valences, polished hardwood floors and knotty pine interior paneling. This cozy, two-bedroom cottage has a single story and a comfortable, shared living space heated by a cast-iron, gas-burning fireplace. The lounge area is furnished with an old-fashioned rocking chair and a heavy-timber, queen-sized futon couch. There is also a television and a VCR. The corner kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dinnerware and modern appliances – a refrigerator, oven, stovetop, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
This lakeside getaway is pet-friendly, perfect for sweeping up the whole family and getting out of town for a few days. The cottage is a fully separate lodging space with a private entrance but is attached to its mirror cottage Rock Haven. The cottages can be rented together to accommodate large groups or multiple-family vacations. Guests to Stone Haven also have access to resort amenities such as volleyball courts, ping-pong, horseshoes, a children’s play area and a sandy swimming area.
Sleeping arrangements: Rock Haven is equipped with two separate bedrooms and beds for up to five guests – a full-sized bed, a free-standing twin-sized bed and a bunk bed with twin-sized mattresses.
Cottages at Hide-A-Way Waterfront are settled in amongst the trees of the Adirondack Mountains region. Each cabin has a small, private plot with a stone fire pit surrounded by log benches and Adirondack chairs, a picnic table and a charcoal grill. Guests are welcome to use resort-owned watercraft (rowboats and canoes) to explore Lake Vanare free-of-charge. Guests can take a paddling tour of serene waters, or troll for trout, crappie or bass.
The real draw to this picturesque getaway cabin resort is its proximity to the mountain range. With dappled sunlight filtering through tall trees to light secluded mountain pathways, as well as waterfalls, lookout points and amazing views, the Adirondacks are a top destination for nature-lovers everywhere. The range also harbors hundreds of miles of rivers and streams, downhill skiing and a variety of celebrated wineries, distilleries and craft breweries.
Lake Luzerne is a stunning, northern New York hub of natural water features, where the Hudson River and water from the Great Sacandaga Reservoir converge. Visitors will love the tumbling Rockwell Falls and the calm waters of The Bay. Water skiing, boating, fishing and swimming at the public beaches are all popular attractions at Lake Luzerne’s chain of lakes.
Lake Luzerne is also home to a variety of outdoor sporting activities, including tennis and basketball courts and mini golf. Fun family day-trips or dates can be taken to three different local history museums, summer concerts, walks down the riverside boardwalk or to seasonal craft shows. Unique local attractions include a music camp and repurposed, historic logging camps that have taken new life as dude ranches, where visitors can be guided through forest trails on horseback. Visitors who time their trips right could schedule an evening at the 50-year-old Dude Ranch Rodeo. And, the fun doesn’t stop when the days grow cold – the surrounding woodlands also offer more than 200 miles of snowmobile trails.

Everything was perfect! Felt just like home, only was in the woods! My fiance and I stayed in the Pine cottage and it was very nice and secluded and perfect for our occasion. Most everything is provided, even a bundle of firewood and a s'mores package, just need to bring food, clothes, lighter, TOWELS (We forgot these, but the the staff was able to lend us a few for our stay, TY), and other bathroom essentials (shampoo). The boats are really awesome, and the lake is very placid and good size to row on at anytime of the day. There was a variety of birds and squirrels and chipmunks all around that made the final piece of the puzzle just perfect! They didn't get too close, but close enough to see or hear. I will be planning another trip here next Fall for sure. Thank you again to all the staff! James Switser
Cottages are clean and cozy! Went there for a family vacation and we had a wonderful time. Owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back! Kandy Galvin Munoz
I love hide-away waterfront cottages!! It's my favorite place to take my beautiful daughter , I've been there 5 times within 2 years. My first time there i was 6 months pregnant and have made it a tradition to go every Mother's Day , 2 years in a row. The cabins are beautiful and the view is amazing ! No matter what cabin I stayed at it has always been delightful . The owner Peter is one the nicest people you'll ever meet and his daughter is also very sweet! I will be visiting real soon. My 4th time, husband's 5/6. Always clean, always friendly. Good for kids. Fishing is fun. Boats are great. Nice and quiet and close to everything! Amy Golubowicz Gagne
Great vacation spot especially if you have small children. My husband and children spent many fun filled summer vacations there when our children were young. They learned how to fish and catch frogs and how to row a boat while there. They always looked forward to going every summer. Very nice owners and nice location. We knew the previous owners Carol and Russell Redlein. Enjoy!! Barb and Joe Inglese
